debriefed
Privacy policy · last updated 22 April 2026
Debriefed collects nothing.
This is a deliberately short policy because there is very little to describe. Debriefed is a single-purpose video scrubbing tool that runs entirely on your device. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
What Debriefed accesses on your device
- Photos library — read: requested the first time you pick a video, so iOS can show you the video picker. The picked video is played back locally; nothing about it is transmitted anywhere.
- Photos library — add-only: requested the first time you tap the camera icon to save a frame. Debriefed writes the frame JPEG into your Photos library and accesses nothing else there.
These are the only permissions Debriefed ever requests. Both are iOS-native permission prompts; Debriefed cannot bypass them and never receives raw access beyond what you grant.
What Debriefed does not do
- Debriefed does not create an account. There is no sign-in, no user identifier.
- Debriefed does not connect to the internet during normal use. The app operates fully offline.
- Debriefed does not include third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking.
- Debriefed does not read, share, upload, or transmit the videos you scrub.
- Debriefed does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, calendar, health data, or any other category of personal information.
Children
Debriefed is rated 4+ and contains no content that would be inappropriate for children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future feature does require some form of data handling — the change will be documented here with the date updated, and a new version of the app will request any additional permissions needed.
